Surgical Suites, which enable our doctors to perform major soft tissue
surgeries, orthopedic surgeries, as well as routine surgeries (Spays and
Neuters) |
- Laser
surgery reduces pain, causes less bleeding and swelling, and generally
faster recovery times. During surgery, the laser beam sterilizes as it cuts,
and seals both blood vessels and nerve endings. It is this sealing process
that minimizes the bleeding and pain for the patient.
 |
Endoscopy |
- An
endoscope is a long, flexible tube with a tiny camera at the tip, and
within the tube is a channel that allows the passage of a variety of
instruments, including snares and biopsy items. An endoscope is used to help
diagnose and treat a variety of gastrointestinal and respiratory disorders.
Depending on the symptoms, an endoscope is used to look at the inner lining
of the throat, stomach and intestine, colon or at the respiratory passages
(nose, throat and lungs). Small samples (biopsies) of these areas can be
taken and then analyzed to try to determine the nature of the disease.
 |
Electrocardiography (EKG) |
- An
EKG is a diagnostic test that records the electrical activity of the heart.
The electrocardiogram is a noninvasive test. The heart's electrical activity
is recorded by attaching small contact electrodes to the limbs and chest
wall. This allows recording of electrical activity onto paper printed from
the electrocardiograph machine.
 |
Diagnostic Ultrasound (Anniston) |
-
An ultrasound
(also called a sonogram) is a non-invasive procedure used to evaluate the
internal organs. Ultrasound examinations can be used to examine the
abdominal organs, heart, and reproductive organs. This test can also be
helpful in cases of reproductive abnormalities, unexplained fever, pregnancy
detection, loss of appetite or weight loss.
